DO NOT BLIND BUY THIS SHIT. Try it out yourself. NEVER trust these fucking crazy over glazed reviews. This is very good, but not even CLOSE to 'the best vanilla'. Smells like a mix between Queening and Grand Soir. Smell good? Yes, smells okay! Opens with some spices, and dries down to an deep ambery vanilla. But it's nothing special. You will not be "WOWed" by this. Best vanilla? HELL NO. If you think this is the best vanilla, you need to smell more fragrances. You want vanilla? Get YSL Babycat for the dark, suede vanilla. Get Profumum Roma Gioiosa for the loud coconut sweet vanilla. Many more Guerlain scents better than this. 4/10
SO good. Chef’s kiss.
As everyone has said.....this is the mother of ALL vanilla fragrances. The search for the best vanilla fragrance has come to an end. I have SDV and I love this more more more! I can not stop smelling myself when I wear this. This is beyond addictive. It's drawing. Yearning. This fragrance is everything. And yes it is ridiculously expensive but sometimes certain things are worth the cost. This is worth the cost.
I am a vanilla enthusiast, and as most of us are, I have always been on the hunt to find the perfect Vanilla. I went to sample spirituese Double vanille and I saw this beside it. I tested it and at that moment, everything changed. I instantly became sad because #1 I knew I had to buy this and the price is absurdity #2 I knew the joy of the search was over, and I had found it, the perfect vanilla! This was a little over a year ago. That day, I put some on a tester strip and kept it in my purse and I would honestly smell it every now and again when I needed some hope lol! It lasted on that card for months! I saved for it here and there and when the opportunity presented, I was able to secure it! Now oddly enough, I don't love it as much as I thought I would 🫠🙃🫠 lol, but wait there's context. It's very resinous which is nice but I recently after much experimenting have realized that ambery resinous balsamic scents, are just not the best on me and don't beling in my collection. It's the opoponax in here. It really comes out and lingers and gives it an aged antique old almost suede/leather/ vintage kind of quality that my skin amplifies to no end, more than the vanilla. ( I have what I refer to as masculine or cold skin, where my skin amplifies masculine scents like woods, ambers, and herbal notes, and subdues sweet notes like tonka, vanilla, and certain fruits, so this was not surprising. If you're blessed with warmer skin, it will be so lovely on you.) But I'm so torn because I realize that this quality that I dislike is also what makes it so beautiful and so unique. So I'm keeping it. Don't get me wrong, it's still a wonderful vanilla, and I still wear it at times, but I still reach for Bianco Latte over this all day, any day. I know it will age like fine wine and hopefully I will appreciate that antique quality in the future (because the way this costs, I'm holding onto it foreverrrr lol!) I've also since found out that Guerlain as a house doesn't work well for me either. There's something about their formulations that always irritates my senses or makes me slightly nauseous. I much prefer Xerjoff. Anyway beautiful creation, I still believe it's one of the best vanillas on the market if not the best, I just never imagined it wouldn't entierly work out for me. My search is over, but I'm still enjoying exploring perfumes. See you in the next review!
Smells stunning but the price is egregious... I prefer SDV and its cheaper so I'll stick with that one
This is definitely the best vanilla I have ever smelled. It has an ambery and slightly woody base and is just the right amount of sweet, very balanced, very sophisticated, elegant, clean and adult. Delphine Jelk and Thierry Wasser managed to combine the classic and the modern in Guerlain's most important ingredient. Guerlain Vanilla has always been a world reference and is now very well represented in this magnificent extract. Vanille Supreme!
It's easily the greatest vanilla fragrance ever made. However for people with amatuer olfactory senses might not like this.
This smells oh so rich and oh so decadent. Perfect luxury in a bottle, the richest vanilla perfume I’ve ever smelled !
Beautiful fragrance. To my nose it’s very similar to Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac which also lasts longer on my skin. Initio is close enough and more affordable to save myself the $700
❗️💥🐍😓 DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE FOR THIS! Not worth $700. $500, sure. After going through 2 bottles and multiple samples. I've since tried a few other better vanilla scents. Such as Living Libations pure vanilla planifolia, Insuline Safrine . I no longer hold Vanille Planifolia as the goat in my collection. That would go to K224. BUB has been decluttered. 3 bottles of this is just craZ. I did the same with Delina Exclusif 8 bottles 😂🤔 I don't like the direction Delphine is taking the brand. Many of the new creations are "dupes" for older now discontinued Guerlains. As well as dupes of other brands. For instance the new L'heure Doree, it's a rip off for Zafeer Oud Vanille. The new Lustre by Amouage is a rip off for Bois d'Armenie (a Guerlain is the nose behind Lustre). She also gave this scent to influencers. Which is something I feel Guerlain wouldn't have done in the past. Roja sure, but Guerlain? No. (& no I'm not jealous of influencers. I don't trust them but no hate here.) My biggest gripe with the fragrance would be the fact that the samples I tested initially were a year old and smelled incredible. Yet, the full bottle smells different. Not as rich as the sample. I'm not sure if the fb needs to mature or "macerate" (not the proper term PEOPLE!!!). Or if Guerlain has watered them down now that it's hyped or overhyped as I now see it. The next BR540... sadly and we see what's happened to Kurky's brand. Hey, Guerlain also sold to LVMH way back when so no surprises here. Update: yes. Bottle has to mature be sure to spray a few times and leave it in the dark.
It gives me rich grandma vibes and I’m here for it
I blind bought a $600-something bottle of this based only on TikTok’s I saw. Toe curling orgasmic. This has changed me as a fragrance snob and I want nothing less than the glorious high end that is Guerlain. I’ve also blind bought Tobacco Honey and have a few more on my “to buy” list. This fragrance is long lasting and just beautiful.
Vanille Planifolia is -eyes rolling back into your head with a moan- worthy. As a complete loyalist to Spirtueuse DV, I feel like I am cheating a bit loving this so much, but whilst they are for different occasions, they are almost neck and neck for winning the badge of my soul (vanilla) scent. This is a very pure, opulent, luxuriously smooth, decadent, and silky vanilla. It reminds me of the homemade vanilla custard I make for special occasions, but instead of being made by me, its being made by a world renowned chef, and being served for dessert to royalty in their golden palace. Its indulgent without being too sweet, like the first time you taste vanilla extract and are shocked that there's no sweetness, this vanilla is so good that it doesn't need sugar, she's rich and mature. Add the MOST beautiful soft amber accord I have ever worn, with just the right amount of spices. It's good and I don't care how much it costs.
After so many years of being a frag head, I’ve limited my reviews at this point on fragrances as a lot of of the vanillas and Amber fragrances are fruity, leaning or too lactonic. This lies perfectly classic a deep opening of Amber vanilla, and drives down to a softer cleaner oponoax and spice that makes it more complex than just a skin scent. All vanilla lovers need this in their collection.
OMG. This is the goat of vanilla perfume. This is absolutely stunning. It’s not at all a juvenile easy to wear vanilla. This is beautiful, mature, gives a rich vibes, kind of perfume . This perfume is always a compliment get her, and the longevity is beyond measures. Jelphine delk is absolutely amazing, and she has created some of my most favourite Guerlain fragrances vanilla planfolia being one of them. 😍
id buy this if it wasn't worth a kidney, absolutely not a price id ever pay for a perfume unless i was a billionaire. a shame really
At first spray, Vanille Planifolia reveals an incredibly creamy vanilla, almost milky, I’d even say. A real surprise as I wasn’t expecting this at all. But as it develops, it turns much spicier and warmer. I also get a strong impression of cocoa, and to be honest, it reminds me quite a bit of Fève Gourmande (and I see I’m not the only one). As it reaches the end of its wear, the spices disappear, revealing once again that lovely milky vanilla. It’s a very beautiful fragrance, but its price is completely over the top, such a shame.
Vanille Planifolia is thick like over-boiled caramel, almost chewy like rubber, tobacco-heavy and chock full of enveloping spice, yet strangely… hollow. The opening lowkey reminds me of warmed plastic left to cool in the sun, oily and slick, smooth but with a faintly artificial edge that detracts from something truly indulgent. For a promise of planifolia, this extrait in all its costliness still fails to capture the richness of its source—the complexity of the vanilla bean is there, but so well blended with an almost oppressive warmth that it drowns, dense instead of delicate. It becomes one note, a singular hum of sweetened oil that lacks the depth or lushness one would expect from our esteemed house. Maybe it's the lack of texture here, a flatness that leaves you yearning for a bit of zest or distinctive nuance turn it into something truly worthwhile. But in the end, it remains an underwhelmingly overwhelming warm scent that just doesn't quite live up to its title.
Yankelover12/28/24 22:03 Way overpriced and overhyped soft spicy vanilla scent that is nowhere near as good as other Vanilla fragrances costing 1/4 the price (including their own double Vanille). The performance is weak with nonexistent sillage and no projection.. Basically a skin scent for a crazy price. I got a bottle as a gift and immediately sold it as it I have at least 5 other vanilla fragrances that smell much better and last much longer. “Try before you buy” and don’t get caught up on the hype train.$630 for 50 ml is highway robbery IMO. Guerlain Double Vanille (old bottle before the reformulation that ruined it) is still the Goat
I really tried to like this. I made a review a long while ago and came upon another sample recently and so I retried it during our coldest week of the year since the first time I wore it, it was during the hot season but I can’t get along with it, at least on me. I can see this being nice on a man though. It just feels so rugged, mature and masculine to me honestly. It’s no doubt blended well but it’s so damn spicy/smokey. I got asked if I was wearing a man’s cologne, no joke and I’ve never been asked that. Maybe it’s just my skin but really this just isn’t my type of vanilla. It’s classy and all but too masculine and mature for me. I regretted going all in on spraying my clothes as well as skin because I felt like a gentleman wearing it the whole day, ugh lol. I like more feminine leaning vanillas and to me this a spicy, smokey, manly vanilla perfume with the vanilla being overshadowed by everything else. I will say it lasted quite a long time and projected well which I previously stated it didn’t.
I recently traveled to London. This is one of the fragrances I’ve been wanting to test. I finally tested it at Selfridges and oh my! It is beautiful!!! Vanilla is my favorite note and I have and tested a lot of beautiful vanilla scents but this is definitely one of the best. The opening is the best for me, with this boozy, resinous vanilla. Very rich and intense. In this stage, it doesn’t remind me of any other perfume. But as it dries, it revealed a very similar accord of vanilla found in Orchidee vanille by VCA. I could smell it 24 hours later on my skin. It has a beast mode projection first couple of hours. Now, is it worth the cost? Maybe!!! But I don’t think I’ll ever go for it. It’s definitely an amazing creation.
This is a beautiful soft and eternally-lasting powdery vanilla. The amber and musk are also soft on the drydown and the powder remains. It's softer than Spiritueuse Double Vanille and although the spices are there, they're well blended and the ever so softly spiced powder is what remains. It's what I would call a "lovely" scent leaning mature and either day or night in all seasons. It's refined elegance in a bottle. It leaves a soft scent-bubble, almost a whisper. I could see it being unisex as well.
And then they created the absolute best vanilla fragrance in the entire history of mankind. Breathtakingly beautiful, complex, alluring, delicious, sensual. And with outstanding performance. THE END. ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE ❤️
Yuck, i don't like this at all. Strange spicy saffron-y undertones. Overpowers the vanilla. Feels like not much effort was put into this, probably coz its a vanilla, lots of people are gonna buy it anyways. Absolute disappointment from Guerlain.
Grossly overpriced, but beautiful nonetheless. The best vanilla perfume i own and have ever smelled, and i think nothing is dethroning it anytime soon. Will use my bottle very sparingly. Longevity is above 12 hour with moderate to intimate projection, you will get whiffs of it 12 hour plus. If it is too expensive then dont buy it, but if u like it that much, save up for it, its worth to own. 10/10
Vanille Planifolia is so beautiful! And the lasting power and the dry down with the different compositions on the way down are just like a well put together masterpiece. But I cannot justify the cost so I will just get smaller samples that I can afford.
I’ll be honest I usually just blind buy Guerlain fragrances because I generally love everything they do, but due to the price point i ordered a sample of this one first. I was seriously hoping I wouldn’t love it and upon first sniff my heart just sank and I knew I had to have this. I’m a vanilla girl, and let me tell you this is the best smelling vanilla forward perfume I’ve ever smelled. I loved it so much in fact I bought the 125ml bee bottle. The mix of vanilla and spice is absolute perfection. Is it overpriced? Probably. But if you a Guerlainade fan you won’t be disappointed.
A beautiful fragrance you need to try before you buy. I can help you try it. 5 or 10ml available.
People say the price isn’t justifiable, but honestly I have never smelled a vanilla this complex yet simultaneously so blended and smooth. It’s really easy for vanilla fragrances to either go overly sweet or on the other end of the spectrum, too cardboard-y. This fragrance is a perfectly balanced vanilla. So, if you are a vanilla lover this is one to at least explore Update: I’m experiencing a full wearing right now, and I am unfortunately let down. Up close, all these extraits smell superb. But, once they create a bubble around you the bubble just isn’t all that. The bubble of this fragrance is very similar to the bubble of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, which can be had for a third of the price and is still a luxurious status symbol. Or for even less you can get Jo Malone Vetiver & Golden Vanilla. Both are on the same level of this Guerlain. Buying the Guerlain will not add anything to your wearing experience unless you are someone who constantly has their nose to their wrist. Don’t be that person. If I’m committed to buying a vanilla from Guerlain, I’m getting SDV or Angelique Noire over this one, regardless of price.
Do NOT PAY RETAIL FOR ANY FRAGRANCE! Blanche & Bianco make me gag. Nothing like those 2. This is egg nog on a cold day in the most beautiful log cabin. The performance for an extrait is actually excellent! Especially when extraits usually stay close to the skin. This performed on my jacket for days. I had a baby came back to put the jacket on and said damn. Then wondered if it would be to strong for babies nose. Be sure you're buying a decant from a trusted seller. Sounds like you all are getting got. Way better than SDV, SDV smells like someone's sexy grandfather. Who owns all the casinos in town and goes to the corner to play 🤣
Very vanilla. It's certainly a warm, pretty fragrance, although I am shocked that noone can see the similarity between this and Blanche Bete!! If Bianco Latte and Blanche Bete had a baby, this would be it. I own both, so I am a little disappointed that I could have just layered the two to achieve the same scent profile.
Vanille Planifolia is a species of vanilla orchid native to South America, and the star of the show in this Guerlain Extrait 21. I’ve always been a big lover of vanilla, and so I had high hopes for this one especially considering the price, but unfortunately I cannot say these expectations were met. Don’t get me wrong it smells great, it’s a lovely creamy vanilla which, as you would expect, is rather sweet and seductive. However I find it actually doesn’t delve into all the facets vanilla can have quite enough, instead trying to contrast its beauty with sharp spices and resins. In the end I find it quite boring actually. I wanted to love this so badly, and I don’t dislike it in any sense, it just has no justification for costing £500/50ml. Overall this was quite a major let down for me, for a fragrance which could have been so great.
What a masterpiece! I got myself a sample, and it truly is exquisite. If you are undoubtedly a fan of both vanilla and luxury fragrances, you might find a way to justify the cost. Testing on paper versus on skin offers very different experiences with this scent. So, please, please try it on your skin before making up your mind. On paper, the smoke and spices don’t come through, leaving it as a rather linear, creamy, yet realistic vanilla. On the skin, however, I adore the smoky fire note. I don’t perceive it as tobacco, as others have suggested. For me, personally, it lacks a slight sharpness or 'kick'. Perhaps just the amber needs amping up for me, or for the spices to be a little spicier. This is personal preference though, but I feel like at this cost you do have to be picky about whether it is a 100% love or an 85% like. This isn’t a beast-mode scent; it’s extremely comfortable to wear. It’s strong and long-lasting, but definitely not overpowering. It’s also highly unisex, exuding elegance and sophistication. This fragrance is for someone who dislikes anything too complicated but appreciates simple things executed to the highest standard.
there is no world in which this price tag is justified
It's funny Roja copied Guerlain yet Guerlain is hype and overpriced. What is Roja then? I purchase La Nuit 2 directly from Roja. Top wouldn't stay on when lifted. When Sweetie & Qatar $600 less would. This is worth it & if you know how to shop $515 isn't bad.
Finally tried all of the LA&LM extraits and to my surprise, Vanille Planifolia wins my heart. Smooth, spicy & ambery pure vanilla essence. When the rich vanilla essence from SDV meets Oeillet Pourpre’s airy spiciness. I’ve tested both Tonka and Vanille on my wrists and found myself sniffing Vanille more than Tonka. Tonka Sarrapia really intrigued me at first, but somehow it turned a bit too medicinal on my skin. Vanille Planifolia on the other hand, still has that smooth & ambery vanilla oomph-ness that I crave without being too loud and annoyingly sweet. Overall, a very smooth & sophisticated ambery-vanilla perfume but again… Not really worth the exorbitant retail price tag. If you adore dry vanillas like Celine Black Tie, Atelier des Ors Lune Feline or Guerlain Cuir Beluga, you’d probably gonna love this one.
I only have a decant of this. I plan to save up and purchase a full bottle by my b-day. I also have Guerlain's SDV and Feve Gourmand, as well as a mini of Oud Nude. Guerlain is my FAVORITE perfume house. Anyways, VPE is such a beautiful vanilla and spice dream. I can not put this into words - the other reviewers have done this perfectly. I have only to say that this is art. I see this as the spring/summer sister to the winter/fall SDV. 10/10 My queen fragrance!
This is hands down the most beautiful vanilla fragrance ever made. It’s a very realistic warm spicy vanilla. The quality is top notch and it feels like they made this perfume only using raw ingredients and high quality vanilla. This feels like a handmade fragrance not a lab one. My skin usually soaks up fragrances but this lasted 8 hours on my skin and eternally on my clothes 😍😍 It’s ridiculously expensive but I’ll definitely save up for this because it’s worth it. You only two sprays max.
Do not buy from Cosmetics Italia via Mercari. Item is laced/fake!
This perfume is absolutely amazing! The scent is captivating, perfectly balanced, and leaves a lasting impression. Its longevity is incredible – just a few sprays last all day, making it ideal for any occasion. I truly enjoy wearing it. Highly recommend to anyone especially vanilla lover.
So I've been itching to try this one to see if it lives up to the hype (and price) I got myself a wayyy too expensive decant to test. My initial spray was a spice bomb. I sprayed it on my chest and had to sneeze. Ok so past that initial hit, this is a high quality smelling fragrance. Nothing about it smells synthetic the vanilla is very realistic and the fragrance itself is subtle but elegant. It's not overly gourmand, but it reminds me of food I'll get into that.. it doesn't smell edible by itself but has those elements. To me the prominent spice note is nutmeg. I can almost always pick out nutmeg when it's in anything even in a small amount so this to me is a vanilla nutmeg fragrance. Is it nice ? Yeah it's very nice, it has a delicate soft musky dry down and the nutmeg stays throughout. It's very high class smelling without any immature sweetness like marshmallow. The juice itself has a scent that's reminiscent of spiced egg nog if I'm being honest.. that's why it reminds me of food. I like it a lot but Is it worth the cost ? I'm gonna say no for me .. but if you want a somewhat basic in profile, but really high quality vanilla and spice fragrance (that's not smokey or incense or woody like many are) but just a delicate soft luxury scent, then I don't think there is anything that's quite like this off hand, and it may be just the perfect fragrance for somebody who finds most vanilla fragrances too sweet or juvenile. But it's not something that wowed me for it's uniqueness because I've smelled this before. I think you'll smell amazing and chic. But If you wore this to a chrismas dinner it's likely your beautiful $700+ luxury scent will get lost with all the smells of desserts and spices!
I’m selling my bottle it’s 39/50ml for 390$ and I love it so much but I’m interested in buying Tonka sarrapia and I also prefer the money I got it as a gift from my grandpa so I’m willing to sell it and it’s negotiable if your interested pm me (I’m also interested in a good trade)
Amaaazing scent. But omg the price tag 😭 otherwise this is amazing.
The dry down smells like root beer to my nose. Lol. Definitely not worth the hefty price tag. Pass.
Guerlain has continued to exceed expectations. One of the most authentic and surreal vanilla to touch the olfactory cortex of my noggin. Its comparable to the middle of a vanilla orchid in central Madagascar, or a middle aged Italian supermodel. The amber just exemplifies it even more by giving this warm background of sweet love, liked I'm being cuddled by cougars. (animal or women). I have to give credit to Delphine for getting her hands on the Guerlain extrait's. I don't believe anyone could've done it better. If you can afford the price tag, you have no excuse for not obtaining this blessing.
I feel like I’m the only unfortunate one to dislike this fragrance. It smelled like a nicely warmed vanilla from the bottle, nothing spectacular but a nice slightly warmed vanilla. However, it turned into a warm well played with playdoh on my skin. Which I found extremely unpleasant as I don’t enjoy that smell but I know some people do and actively seek it out. The only negative remarks I ever see about this line is cost and longevity so it feels like I’m missing out or missing something entirely. I had the same experience with Spiritueuse Double Vanilla. Guerlian still got me in the end though, because I’m utterly spellbound by Neroli Outrenoir and Neroli Plein Sud.
My mind was literally blown when I smelled this and I did not expect that. I smelled a lot of fragrances this year and owned many decants and have not decided to buy full bottles yet. But this right here, I NEED IT. It literally smells like candied yams in the best way possible. If you grew up in a black/brown household, you know candied yams had lots of butter, vanilla extract, nutmeg, cane sugar, brown sugar. And this is literally how I can describe this scent. I wasn't always fond of smelling like the food type of gourmand, but this is one of those foods I've always wanted to smell like and this is IT! I can't afford splurging on a bottle right now but I definitely want to save up money just to have this in my collection. Not to mention this actually lasts forever on me and scents usually do not last on my skin. It's not beast mode but you will literally smell yourself all day Edit: Y'all omg! To the ppl who doesn't want to splurge on this, or want to use VP wisely, please check out Genre Parfums La vanille! It's literally spot on dude. And this is coming from someone who is not a fan of dupes at all. I literally tested this along with my VP decant and it's literally spot on. I will still buy VP in the future because it has more if that buttery/suede feel to it that I just love. But this is literally a good dupe. You can use this one daily 😆😍 It's also long lasting
yes its linear but its easily the best linear simple scent of all time and probably my #1 fragrance ever
This is very soapy
Ummm this sucks 😭 I don’t pick up on any vanilla, it smells pretty flat and how can something so expensive look and smell so cheap?
It’s always so funny to read a couple reviews that stand out as “shockingly horrible” or “the worst thing I’ve ever smelled” and they out themselves as having broken noses… Anyways, Vanille Planifolia exceeds what I have known to be “vanilla” in fragrances! If you expect little, you will be blown away. If you expect very much, you will still be blown away. Such a unique, beautiful note of a dry musky vanilla that smells so edible without going into gourmand territory. Later on, for me, when this dried down on my work dress shirt, it smelled even better! Like the musk was gone and the vanilla was intensified to this vanilla extract. 10/10 scent with great lasting power.
I’m being 100% serious… What are you all smelling? This is absolutely disgusting. There’s zero vanilla—just a mix of dry, nauseating pencil and Weetabix (and not in a good way). This is NOT the “OMG PERFECT VANILLA” that everyone’s claiming. No, it’s definitely not. Stop lying to yourselves. Absolutely revolting. Some of you might need to get your noses checked.
I expected this to be amaizng and it met my exepectations and maybe even exceeded them. When you first try this you get hit with a really smooth, lactonic vanilla which genuinly smells like heaven. But the dry down is more sweet and powdery. Honestly in this fragrance you dont get much else than just that creamy vanilla. In my opinion this is one of the best smelling fragrances there is out there. I always wanted fragrance that smelt like vanilla extract and this is that. But for £495 it is nit worth paying but it is an absolute masterpiece.
I think we can all agree that Vanilla is objectively the best note in fragrances. It's simply amazing. So of course this is held in such high regards, the whole Guerlain Extrait line is amazing to be honest. It's a powdery vanilla fragrance, it's pretty one-dimensional but I do not care, and that is not an objectively bad thing. Smell: 9.7/10 Performance: 8.5/10 Bottle/atomiser: 8.3/10 Overall: 9.5/10
As a very long time vanilla obsessed girl, this blew me away. It’s everything vanilla should be. It’s so warm and comforting, but not a childish vanilla. It’s very sophisticated, old money. If I could imagine how it would smell rubbing the finest vanilla pods together, then smelling them, this would be it. The spices are soft in the background and make this beauty even more comforting. I probably have 25 vanilla frags, and if I could pick one…. This would be it.
Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21 is a beautiful vanilla but is it enough? It starts as an oily vanilla with black peppery earthiness like gunpowder or subway break soot. This isn’t just a strictly vanilla scent as it’s a spicy oriental. It’s linear, calm, slightly metallic and is warm in a translucent glowing candlelight way, rather than a sweet yellow custard vanilla way. It reminds me of Tonka Sarrapia as it shares the oily Guerlain extrait DNA but I prefer Vanille Planifolia Extrait 21. So is it enough? Well, I’m a sucker for Cuir Beluga so no, it’s not creamy enough for me, but if you like the simplicity of Spiritueuse Double Vanille (and have money to burn) then go with Vanille Planifolia or just save money with Spiritueuse Double Vanille.
I think you will be surprised at this review. Because of how expensive VP21 really is, I have held it to a much higher standard than I would with a fragrance that is around $300. Think about that. $300 is exceptional. That is around exclusive High end luxury Brands and independent niche houses. This fragrance blows them all out of the water at a whopping $695. For a 50 mL! Let us compare properly everybody. It should be 100 mL because everything else is currently being sold 100 ml. That is $1390. Guidance extract at 100 mL is around $700 if you include tax etc. So I absolutely have the right to critique at a higher standard because they are asking you to pay $600 more. More than any other fragrance house I have seen. I am not the oracle by any means, but I do spend every day of my life in the fragrance industry. Although this is a very classy vanilla, there is severe lack of personality. It's almost forgetful you have it on after an hour or so. For how outrageous this price is, I at least want something people can remember me by. I understand elegance and I understand class. But I also understand underperformance and I regretfully have to say that is what is happening here. Yes, you do have to adhere to Guerlain and the identity that comes along with it as the guerlainaide. Did I spell it right? Don't forget I am using my voice control, so it is quite a pain in the ass having to spell out every letter in the word. But I think it's important I say all of this because it is remarkable how overpriced this particular collection is. I was only able to purchase a small sample from a third-party and I regret that considerably. I am unimpressed by Guerlain and I think their products are not worth the money. I can recommend numerous other houses. If you are in your 30s or are younger, this house is not for you. That's how the cookie crumbles for me.
This might be the best „plain“ vanilla perfume ever created. Warm, mouthwatering, smooth, waxy even - raw vanilla - like extracted oil from real vanilla pods. Warm and delicious, PURE vanilla with amber and the slightest hint of spice. I really don’t get the smoke many here are talking about? Comparing this side by side to SDV, it is similar but now I definitely smell the bergamot and cedar very clearly in SDV, and Vanilla Planifolia smells like it is just it’s isolated Vanilla accord. 8.5/10 As Guerlain intend for this Line is for us to create our own little Guerlinad-esque mixture I tested layering this with all the other Extraits and my favourite combinations with this are Iris Pallida and Bergamote Fantastico
No one does vanilla like Guerlain. A pretty, sweet, amber scent with real longevity unlike most Guerlain, but thankfully I like SDV a thousand times better, even without the longevity. My wallet is happy.
I got 2 ml sample of this from the guerlain boutique its very spicy vanilla that reminds me of a lovley perfume called Rosendo mateu no 5 that i have and enjoy. They are very very similar like 90% similar. Of course the guerlain have superior quallity but its like 4 times more expensive with half the amount. This collection of guerlain is waaaaaay overpriced . 650$ is evil price
Incensy, dry vanilla, slightly aromatic, often gives an impression of chai or root beer to some. Very unisex. Not a dessert vanilla at all. Some close cousins do include Le Labo Vanille 44, Dior Addict, even Blanche Bete. I have the Genre dupe La’Vanille and it is outstanding.
Egg nog with a sprinkle of nutmeg. This is really wonderful. There are a few phases: 1. Vanilla pods 2. Egg nog creamy 3. Remote chimney soot smokey incense vanilla.
I'm not joking; this is the best vanilla perfume I've ever laid my nose near. It's the perfect vanilla, not too sweet/gourmand, and not too mature, where it borders smokiness or an "old lady" feel. So simple but so smooth. I can't stop smelling myself!
I love this but after sniffing my wrist for hours I realized that the dry down smells like something that I already own. I just couldn’t figure out what it is. I decided to browse the “reminds me of section” and finally it clicked when I saw the fragrance upvoted by 2 others. So this is clearly a very unpopular opinion but the vanilla in this fragrance along with the musk makes this fragrance reminiscent of Blanche Bete. Yes I said it. Just give it a side by test and you’ll likely get the same if we recognize fragrances/notes in the same way. This gives me comfort in knowing that I don’t need to splurge on this fragrance. Blanche Bette is half the price and it has alot more going on which I love.
The lady at the Guerlain counter raptured me with this one. It.is.worth.the.hype. She’s worth it. She’s exquisite. Coming soon to a opulent winter near you 💛
I was given a sample of this with my Bois d'Armenie purchase with the hype being totally unbeknown to me, and I FREAKING LOVE IT! Disclaimer: I'm extremely particular when it comes to vanilla centric perfumes, for most of the time, they're overloaded with aromachemicals like ambroxan, or are either too sunscreen-y (coconut) or too sweet/sugary/foody. I love the good old vanillin-benzoin-labdanum amber accord though, which I thought this would have a generous dose of, given the notes, but it doesn't, not really. Vanille Planifolia has a surprisingly waxy floral open, almost pollen-y to some extent, yet oh so airily sweet, supple and mellow. It took me a while to realise, not sure if intentional, that it embodies the fragrance of Cattleya orchids (the subtly citrusy and rosy aroma intertwined with the intoxicating, waxy headiness not too different from that of lilies) and Vanilla orchids (which gives off a gently spicy and creamy sweetness) in a most photorealistic fashion. This delicately sweet, waxy and pollen-y floralcy is then joined by a more traditional "amber" accord, coating it in dusty and woody opoponax, creamy benzoin and powdery vanillic musk, all of which brought to mind Oriza L. Legrand Le Regent with a smidge of Grand Soir, sans the lavender and patchouli. Preposterously priced, outrageously bewitching and heavenly smell! I feel 800+ AUD poorer already.
Testing my sample; this is a gently spicy vanilla, think dried vanilla pods stored in satchels of earthy spices. Gets a touch more herbal and musky as it dries down and mingles with your body heat. Not a big projector at all, this is very much arms' length, but if someone leans in close, they will get the full blast of the scent. It's nice if you want a spicy vanilla from Guerlain, but it's not a must-have out of all the other vanilla-forward fragrances Guerlain offers. Worth sampling to gauge your personal interest.
To be honest, this is the best vanilla perfume. The only downside is the evil price.
You can pay much, much less and smell just like this cheap smoked ham of a fragrance if you so wish.
I love vanilla and I have a lot of vanilla fragrances, that are slightly different from each other. But this is the vanilla to rule all vanillas for me. I have the Dua version, which I bought together with the SDV dupe and this one is what I thought SDV would be. I know Dua makes really good dupes so I am 95% confident Guerlain smells the same. A spiced (not spicy) vanilla, not sweet, but not dry or smoky. Kinda how pumpkin spice adds aroma to your coffee but not sweetness, you still need to add sugar in your coffee. This is a perfect balanced vanilla, for the people that don’t want gourmand or sweet (Girl of Now, December Vanilla) nor smoky and incense-y (Vanilla Diorama, SDV). I only wish the price tag was like the SDV, I would have totally justified 400$ for 100ml, but 700$ for 50 ml is outrageous. I will stick to my Dua and if I end up wanting it again I’ll just buy multiple bottles so I’ll always have it.
This is honestly a great perfume. I managed to get an official sample. I sprayed it on my arm Wednesday and I can still smell it today. Given the nature of vanilla fragrances, there is not loud projection, but this does last. This smells like a vanilla cake without the frosting, it’s slightly sweet and not cloying. Luckily. On my skin, the vanilla is sweet and prominent. Now, I would say for the price it is not worth it, but if you are a vanilla lover and have the money, buy it. If you want a cheaper alternative that is more gourmand and sweet, but still expensive nonetheless, get Tihota. The price really has me second guessing to purchase this. If it were $400 even $500 for 50ml I would have purchased, but damn near $700 is really obsured. I’m still thinking about pulling the trigger.
I got it today. Totally blind buy, but safe- after all I love Vanilla, I love Guerlain L'Art & La Matière line. My feelings - it's clearly vanilla under the vail, the style of execution - artistic composition, totally Guerlain DNA. I sprayed once on my wrist and feel the waives of spices, vanilla, spices, vanilla. This composition has strong core, it's not a sweet vanilla smudge, it's a vanilla harmonious, meaningful composition with character. I'll explore this character, it's interesting. Update week later: I put 1 spray on fingers and dabbed into skin (under the t-shirt) at 9AM and I felt it all day long and next day. So the performance is truly great.
I agree with the reviewer below me, this just isn’t worth the hype to me. I sampled in a Guerlain boutique recently and enjoyed the smell on the paper strip but now I think I must have gotten it confused with a different fragrance. To be fair I had been sampling multiple frags that day so I asked for a sample to take home and I’ve been wearing it for the past week multiple times and honestly, it’s pretty lackluster and comes off very smoky to me, at least on my skin. I’m surprised the notes don’t mention the smoke because it’s VERY prominent. So much so that for a min I thought I was wearing Tom Ford TV which is a frag I don’t care for on myself but is nice on a man. I actually found this fragrance to be slightly masculine leaning but still unisex. I was hoping it would be more vanilla forward but I get mostly smokey elements, a lot of amber and spices with a vanilla running throughout and while the skin scent of it lasts for a good time, it’s very weak in the projection. It’s a long lasting close to the skin scent. This shouldn’t be named a vanilla imo, more like an amber honestly. It definitely smells of high quality, no doubt but it didn’t impress me and my search for my perfect vanilla fragrance continues…
There’s a LOT of hype around this one, perhaps because it is scarce here in the U.S.? But I have a tiny sample that I got when I went overseas this past Spring (February’24) and I am not impressed. To each their own, of course, I completely understand and respect other’s opinions but to me, this is not as awesome as say, Spiritueuse Double Vanille or Angélique Noire. This is kinda meh and I am very glad I did not fork out $700 blindly!!! If able, sample it because it is disappointing and weak…my humble thoughts, no offense 🙂↕️
I found a dupe of this scent that smells 100000% similar, cheaper, and stronger than the original! I found it at Amir Oud House Of Royal Fragrance in Dallas Texas!! they have a perfume bar and I was shocked at how similar this smells! I got it for $69 for a 50ml and $79 for a 100ml!! I texted their number and they shipped it to me right away and it was crazy how theirs is super identical!
smells like swiss miss hot coco mix. For me this was all presentation and the scent itself doesn't do anything interesting for me.
Absolutely adore this perfume.
Great scent! It's odd when someone says, "Don’t let the hype fool you," especially when no one forced them to buy it. They got caught up in the excitement and paid a high price, making themselves the fool. A smart person would test a fragrance first before spending a lot of money (or at the very least, not spend 700 before trying). No excuses like “oh I can’t find a sample”. So that doesn’t make sense, but spending 700 does? lol. All of these grown people with prepubescent minds.
I paid $668 for a 50ml of this beauty. A lot of it is honestly hype. Vanilla Vice from Vivamor is very similar but better for $125 for 100ml. Angélique Noire is better, Spiritueuse Double Vanille is better, even Cuir Béluga is better than this. I would take Shalimar Millésime Iris over this too. This skin scent isn't in my top 10 favorite vanillas. Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love is similar to this too. Don't let the hype fool you.
**UPDATE BELOW** This is a beautiful fragrance, and the longevity is impressive. I’m surprised there is no smoke note listed, because it is definitely present. I was giving serious consideration to pulling the purchase trigger because I was continually wrist-sniffing all the livelong day, but I had a nagging feeling I’d been here before. The light finally flicked on: this is strikingly similar to By The Fireplace. While VP is more delicate and supple, it has the same smoky vanilla backbone and the same rootbeer float-iness as BTF. While VP is less smoky and more refined, and a genuinely gorgeous fragrance, I’m not sure I’d own both, especially considering the investment. UPDATE: Yes, there is a similarity but I was wrong about not owning both. I love this and I will sell a nonessential organ if I have to to make sure I always have some on hand. It’s comforting and cozy and a new favorite.
Superior perfume. As it should be for the price. Smells like a root beer float. It reminded me of vintage Coty wild musk and Coty vanilla musk combined.
This is celine black tie with better projection.
Finally a perfume in this series I don't absolutely want (my wallet is eternally grateful). Don't get me wrong, it's certainly an ok scent, but it's not as special as the Jasmin or Iris one in this series. It'ss also not just a vanilla perfume: there are a bunch of spices that muddle the smell. (and I often cook with fresh vanilla beans, so I should know) If you really want to smell like vanilla, save yourself about €500 and buy €50 worth of fresh beans, slice them open and rub some of the seeds on your skin. It might not last as long, but it'll smell better (or at last more like vanilla) and €50 of beans will last longer than 50ml of this bottle.
althair if it was the best fragrance of all time
Just got it. Amazing vanilla, mature but gentle and delicate. The performance is very good both silage and longevity. This collection is amazing.
I sprayed this to test, completely forgot about it, then went to my workout class. The trainer announced on the gym’s PA system - someone smells like vanilla and it’s AMAZING WHO IS IT?? I already enjoyed Vanille Planifola in my own scent bubble, but that reaction alone made me immediately want to order a bottle. Everything I love about a vanilla all-in-one; doughy, sweet, dense and lightly spiced. Guerlain is the king of vanillas and VP is just another example why.
Ohhhh heavens! I’ll give up all my Parfume collection for this fragrance. Dry elegant vanilla with ambery undertone. I fell in love from using a sample once and had to get a bottle. This opens up as intoxicating elixir. I can see this might be not for everyone. For me this is best fragrance discovery yet, for any time of the year and occasion is perfect. Takes a tiny spritz that will last over 12 hours easily. Very different on skin vs clothing. At least try it once. This is a truly masterpiece! As someone already said - an aristocrat is the right word for this creation.
Elevated Tobacco Vanille imo. But I would reach for this over TV any day of the week because it’s even more classy, elegant. TV is beautiful but overreaches at times. Vanille Planifolia takes that vibe and makes it better.
With one word - masterpiece! Gentle and delicate, a true aristocrat, composed like no other vanilla perfume! Compared with Vanille Fatale and Vanilla Sex of Tom Ford, the last two looks like the poor relatives from a distant village.
Meh. A slightly doughy vanilla with a tinge of something herbal. I don’t understand.
I’m shocked at how similar this is to Celine Black Tie! There are some differences, Black Tie is a little more powdery due the orris but overall very similar fragrances. SUPER overpriced imo.
Amazing vanilla. I purchased both the Vanilla and Iris extraits. Both of the highest quality and I feel my search for the perfect vanilla is now over. Vanilla on my skin lasts over 14 hours. The smell if directly applied via the bottle sprayer is sweeter, as more liquid is released. Spraying from a fine travel spray tends to bring out the smokiness in the vanilla more. Well worth the money for me, given how much I have spent in the last few years chasing the perfect vanilla. Just beautiful, projects well and has great longevity on skin and clothes.
Gorgeous!! Smoky dense and rich vanilla!! Amazing longevity and projection. The dry down of Lavandes Trianon smells like the opening of this beauty. I wish they sold more affordable sizes. I would buy a 20 Ml for $150-$200 it’s that good
I want something that smells exactly like this, that isn’t this because paying $800 for a 50mL extrait seems kinda absurd. Smells nothing like Enigma PH except that it’s in the same price range.
I like the fact that extraits tend to last longer and be denser, but I also find them more challenging to test for suitability on me because it is a different wearing experience. For me, this opens with a very nice vanilla pop while it’s in the air, but once on the skin it became pretty subdued pretty quickly. I kept aware of it during the wear and I get a significant dose of opoponax. I’m going to try this a few more times and maybe it will express itself more if I wear it when my body heats up a bit. Edit: Lasts forever. 20 hours and 2 showers later and I’m still smelling a gentle vanilla plume. If slow and steady wins the race, then this is the GOAT. Layering with the rose is deliciously awesome.
I agree with Tee22. It is a beautiful grown up vanilla! I am in love unfortunately. If you have similar fragrance taste as me than I think you will loooove this fragrance! My Guerlain loves include, SDV, GC,Cuir Belugia,& Feve Gourmand! I hate the price point but this is something special here in my opinion.
Absolutely beautiful, caleidoscopic, changes a few times when worn on skin, but unfortunately, at some point it turns into something 'tobacco-vanille'-like, which I can't stand. Boozy, very longlasting.
This new offering from Guerlain took some time for me to fully understand the fragrance. But I’m happy to say it did successfully grow on me. Once I got a full understanding of this intoxicating blend I ended up loving it! This is such a beautiful and unique vanilla fragrance. It’s very well crafted and smells super luxurious. It has just the right amount of an animalic funk but it’s not too much, as I hate it when vanillas get too animalic and rancid. A perfect example of this would be Absolute Aphrodisiac. Guerlain’s Vanille Planifolia isn’t like that at all. This stuff smells GOOD. The notes are blended masterfully in perfect Guerlain fashion. I honestly think this is worth a full bottle even though it’s about $650+ USD. This is also wonderful when mixed with Angelique Noire! I’m going to try layering her with SDV next, I can’t imagine it not being a hit.. as it seems like these extraits blend nicely within the Guerlain family :)
This is unlike any other vanilla I have, and I have several including Angelique Noire, which is my favorite, Cuir Beluga, Feve Gourmand, Mon Guerlain, Babycat, and several others. It is overpriced for sure, but if you are a vanilla lover, and $$$ is not an issue, go for it. It's not a gourmand type vanilla, but a grown up, vanilla. Very pretty. And you only need a couple of sprays for good silage, and it lasts the whole day and beyond. Edit: I realized, its quite similar, not identical or a clone to Celine, Black Tie, another one of my favorites. However, Black Tie is not as strong/silage nor does it have the staying power as this does.
To my nose, I’m getting a vanilla-iris extrait. It’s similar to Angelique Noire and Cuir Beluga in an extrait form. Lots of powdery and musky vanilla with woods. So soft and the longevity is excellent. The oil is so thick as well. High quality and excellent smell
I got a mini decant from surrender to chance. I am not going to pay >$500 for this scent in a small bottle. Is it beautiful? yes it is, it smells very natural like if you put your nose on a jar of bourbon vanilla paste while cooking creme anglaise for that very vanillary cake that you have in the oven...it is a beautiful vanilla in all its glory. But is simple. It is vanilla plus vanilla...and more vanilla! I would love to have a full bottle of course, but it is just too overpriced. I have SDV and I feel it is a more sophisticated scent, more intense and interesting but I still would be happy buying Vanilla Planifolia 21 if the price was more merciful -- I have to have a rational mind and not throw away my money this way--
Gorgeous, beautifully feminine all natural vanilla opening- a dry, sweet&cold high quality vanilla, so well blended with soft powdery nuances of some pink&white orchid and with just a really tiny bit of fresh citrus scent. That's how i can exactly describe the top notes of this beautiful scent, as i don't initially look at the listed notes ; its almost similar to the opening of Cuir Beluga, which i so so love and adore. However, just about half an hour, the beautiful powdery floral dry vanilla eventually became liquid or damp and headed towards an earthy wet vanilla, must be from the spices that appeared, and all the way to dry down, as a cold smoke/incense entered as well and it became a totally masculine leaning heading towards that rich-uncle vibe scent ( according to my sisters :) ) no offense intended. I did a 2nd testing after a week and its still the same, gorgeous feminine opening and then became too masculine on the dry down and quite mature actually, at least that's how it is for me and became to my skin. It is still a beautiful ultra-rich-ceo kind of vanilla scent, cold vanilla& cold spices&incense combo that last for 10 hours on skin and up to 3 days to even after a week on cloths/jacket , as expected from Guerlain exclusive line and for that heavenly price!
Warm sugary vanilla that is still mature. I definitely get amber underneath everything, not a lot of spice though. Received this as a sample with makeup. I absolutely adore this fragrance. I can't stop smelling it and I want to keep applying it all day. I would buy this but not for this price. It performs well, moderate silage. Lasts a long time around 4 hours on my skin, which is a shame for such a high price.
This smells like an amped up, more rounded/deeper, less diffusive SDV to my nose. I do get a bit more "tobacco" here in the direction of Tobacco Vanille, but just a bit. If I were given the choice of this and SDV, I would choose this. There is a sweet smokiness, a slight clove-iness that I love in this that I don't find in SDV. The texture is also velvety. That said, it doesn't deserve to be that much more expensive than SDV, as it probably contains more or less the same ingredients just tuned slightly differently. My favorite of the extraits.
This is what I expected Spirituese Double Vanille was. This is pure Sugared Vanilla, with some depth and great sillage. The only thing that is preventing me from buying this is the price. 500 euros in 50 ml is crazy, even though I have many niche perfumes.
Beautiful, unique, regal vanilla! Imagine a bowl of grounded blanched almonds, sweet brown malted vanilla powder, yellow milk custard and unsweetened sugar powder....Smooth, powdered with depth Signature worthy scent! Fragrance 9.5/10 Bottle 9/10 Longevity 9.5/10 Price is not justified sadly(>£400!!!)
I’ve been wearing this from a sample for about a week now and it is the perfect vanilla for me. I don’t care for the cedar note in Spiriteuse Double Vanille and was hoping Guerlain would create a vanilla without it and my wish has come true. It’s a rich, deep, true vanilla that lasts a long time and completely envelopes me with its intoxicating scent. It’s perfect on its own but layers beautifully with other scents. (Of the few perfumes I’ve layered it with, the most beautiful surprise was with Jardins de Bagatelle). I really struggled with the price but eventually the beauty and versatility of this perfume won out and I ordered a full bottle.
If you like to cook and you know what is sugared vanilla powder ( or even vanilin) , you will immediately recognize this sweet, edible, aromatic flavor ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is herbal honeyed vanilla, sweet but delicate, very warm and cozy … Incredible longevity and mouthwatering after taste … ❤️ My favorite vanilla of all times , galaxies and universes ❤️ Good luck and be inspired 💋
I'm a lover of Guerlain's vanillas, and I was so hopeful for this one. In many ways it's beautiful: warm, rich vanilla pods front and center, backed by spices. Sweet, but not too sweet. Unfortunately, this is followed by an annoying play-doh element that ruins it for me. Maybe it won't bother others, but it unfortunately bothered me. It's the same play-doh element that made Cuir Beluga -- which was otherwise lovely -- a hard no for me.
Nice and a bit spicy, it’s giving me old spice and obsession vibes. I can smell a connection to Liu and Oeillet Pourpre. Wish this was just a little sweeter. It’s a shame the vanilla is not front and center. You can grab a decant through surrender to chance, definitely a try before you buy.
This (£495 for 50ml) smells almost identical to Laura Mercier Ambre Passion (about £60-80 for 50ml if you can find it). Strong natural vanilla extract sort of smell, but with better projection than vanilla extract would have! Ambre Passion is also very strong with good projection.
This is tobacco, not vanilla. Or maybe Guerlain should change the name to” Tabacco Vannile Extrait”? LoL
OMG! This is so good! Finally a vanilla blend that smells refined, non-cloying, and so effortlessly smooth!!! It has that Guerlain thing, almost feeling like a stripped down version of Bois D’Armenie—smoother, more linear… it just feels really nice and undisturbed. Also it lasts for a full day on my skin. I guess the price tag does piss a lot of people off but this is really good if you are particular about your vanilla. I also own both the EDP and EDT of Eau Duelle, and goodness pleassee this does NOT smell like Eau Duelle at all!!!! Bought a full bottle! 💛 Tonka is amazing too, but Vanille is really special! Edit: I also did a blotter test for performance to see if this really deserves the 'extract' quality as claimed. I applied one spray each of Vanille Extrait, Bois D'Armenie, and Eau Duelle EDP on separate blotters. Here are the results so far: - Eau Duelle EDP vanished after 18 hours - Bois D'Armenie faded after the 48-hour mark - Vanille Extrait is still going quite strong and it's been almost 3 days! Also the Bergamote Extrait lasts really long too but it's just pure musk and the Palo Santo note after the 12-hour mark so I don't think it's worth it!
Okay I sampled this for 2 days now. Let me start by saying that this is a nice fragrance that many will like. My issue is that it’s called a Vanilla extrait, so you’d expect the vanilla to be centerpiece right? No, they put so much spices in this thing that the vanilla is totally overshadowed. A more fitting name would be Epices Mumbai 69. Because it smells exactly like a spice shop in India with some vanilla. I get similar vibes to Eau Duelle EDP by Diptyque (which is 1/4th the price and has more vanilla). The only good thing is its longevity, it pushes 8+ hours on skin. But for €550 for 50ml, it better. 7/10
This may have eclipsed YSL Babycat for me as the most sensual, full bodied and comfortingly sweet vanilla. It is the smell of someone who has lived a life and has decisively chosen to forge ahead with the beauty of connection, empathy and forgiveness rather than steely convictions and "boss b*tch-level up" trendy memes of so called success. This is a strength so sure of itself that it wholeheartedly leans into vulnerability and humility. Exquisite. Tihota and SDV are in the same family but live on the other side of the planet. I never not want to smell like this. I have over 280 niche perfumes. This one lives on top shelf for life.
fire + vanilla? idk how or why, but this actually smells like fire. i automatically thought that it was gonna resemble shalimar millésime vanilla planifolia bc of the name, but nope. this to me is a firy/smoky/woody vanilla. also, the lasting power is insane.
Love this scent. Smells fresh vanilla but not too sweet at all. I bought a bottle. I also love Jasmine and iris from this collection.
I think the name for this perfume is wrong. No vanilla note listed. Weird. 😕
Notes are all wrong, where is the vanilla ?
